Terms and Agreements for Attending the Conference and Training of Trainers Sessions

Registrations are accepted on a full-payment, first-come, first-served basis only. Confirmations are emailed to a registrant's email address within 2 weeks after processing of registration.
Note: If you do not receive a confirmation email letter, please call 866-955-3276 to determine the status of your registration.

Registration fee is $125.00 per day per participant until November 1, 2008. After November 1st, the registration fee will be $150. Fee includes all materials.

Payment method is required when registering. If using a Purchase Order, please send it with your registration. Allow 1-2 weeks to process registration. You will receive a confirmation letter and additional information via email.

Please do not make travel arrangements until you have received your registration confirmation from Learning-Focused Solutions. Invoices and Receipts will be from Learning-Focused Solutions.

LEARNING-FOCUSED UNDERSTANDING
This conference is a LEARNING-FOCUSED Conference. It is implied that all sessions will include Learning-Focused vocabulary and attributes. If you are new to Learning-Focused there are some sessions that are designed for you. For administrators, Leadership, Achievement, and Accountability should be taken prior to Monitoring for Achievement. The Learning-Focused Connecting Strategies training is the most appropriate for teachers new to Learning-Focused. There are some additional sessions that would be appropriate as well. PREREQUISITES, QUALIFICATIONS, AND ADDITIONAL PURCHASES FOR TRAINING OF TRAINERS

Learning-Focused Connecting Strategies and Planning Learning Units Training of Trainers
Prerequisite 1: Participants are required to have participated in all four days of the regular Learning-Focused workshop prior to attending the Training of Trainers.
Prerequisite 2: Each participant is required to bring a completed Learning Unit, developed by the participant, to the training. A completed unit consists of all of the unit decisions and at least 3 completed acquisition lessons and 2 extending thinking lessons. See the Learning-Focused Notebook for more information on Learning Units. Participants without a unit will not be allowed to attend and will not receive a refund or credit.
Qualifications for Certification to Redeliver: Prior to receiving a certificate and materials necessary for redelivery the participant will need to meet a standard of quality with the unit, preparation, and demonstrated knowledge of Learning-Focused. Refunds and credits will not be provided to participants not meeting the minimum standards, and Learning-Focused reserves the right to deny and/or revoke certification and materials. In addition, Learning-Focused reserves the right to require a trainer to conduct additional professional development at his/her own expense in order to receive certification.

Silver Support: $350.00
Silver Support Members receive: A review of a video of his/her first training, 1 telephone support session (30 minutes), a detailed report and suggestions for the trainer based on the video and conversation, email support from Learning-Focused for 2 months, and access to the Learning-Focused Trainer Network for 18 months.
Gold Support: $1,500.00
Gold Support Members receive: A 3 hour onsite pre-training planning session, 2 telephone support sessions (30 minutes each), a review of a video of his/her first training, a detailed report and suggestions for the trainer based on the planning session, video review, and conversations, email support from Learning-Focused for 4 months, and access to the Learning-Focused Trainer Network for 18 months.
Platinum Support: $3,000.00
Platinum Support Members receive: A 3 hour onsite pre-training planning session, 6 hours of onsite observation or co-training with the trainer, a 1 - 2 hour post-training review session, 2 telephone support sessions (30 minutes each), a detailed report and suggestions for the trainer based on the planning sessions and observation, email support from Learning-Focused for 6 months, and access to the Learning-Focused Trainer Network for 18 months.

Catching Kids Up, Vocabulary Instruction, Differentiated Assignments, and Scaffolding Training of Trainers
Prerequisite 1: Participants are required to have participated in all four days of the regular Learning-Focused workshop prior to attending the Training of Trainers.
Qualifications for Certification to Redeliver: Prior to receiving a certificate and materials necessary for redelivery the participant will need to meet a standard of quality with the model, preparation, and demonstrated knowledge of Learning-Focused. Refunds and credits will not be provided to participants not meeting the minimum standards, and Learning-Focused reserves the right to deny and/or revoke certification and materials. In addition, Learning-Focused reserves the right to require a trainer to conduct additional professional development at his/her own expense in order to receive certification.

Learning-Focused Connecting Strategies and Planning Learning Units Training of Trainers UPDATE
Prerequisite 1: Participants are required to have participated in a Learning-Focused Training of Trainers within the past 32 months and have participated in, observed, or redelivered the Learning-Focused workshop within the past 12 months.

PROGRAM CANCELLATION
Learning-Focused Solutions reserves the right to cancel programs because of low registration or any reason deemed reasonable by Learning-Focused Solutions. In the unlikely event of a cancellation, all registrants will be notified and will receive full refunds.

UNABLE TO ATTEND
If you are unable to attend the Conference on Continuous Improvement Presented By Learning-Focused, contact Learning-Focused by January 10th to request a refund. After January 10th, you are ineligible for a refund, but you may send a nonregistered person in your place, with registration confirmation or written authorization from you. For all cancellations or refunds there is a $35 processing fee for each. Please call 866-955-3276 in order to request a refund or to send someone in your place.

ON-SITE REGISTRATION
We fully anticipate this conference to sell out. To ensure availability register as soon as possible. Learning-Focused Solutions does not guarantee admission or session availability for on-site registrants.
